Research Presentation at the the SpokenWeb Institute 2024

Dr. Kristine Dizon has been selected to present her research titled "The Beat of the Past: Kerouac’s Existential Exploration of Memory and Identity" at the SpokenWeb Institute 2024, taking place from June 5-7 in Calgary. Hosted by the SpokenWeb Research Network, this event, themed "Sounding the Futures: Listening Across Time and Space," will gather scholars, archivists, artists, and community members to explore the sonic dimensions of literary practice.

Dr. Dizon's presentation will contribute to discussions on engaging with questions of futurity in literature, highlighting Kerouac's profound exploration of memory and identity within existential contexts.
